Teacher Policies & Code of Conduct

Introduction: At Mexican Spanish, our commitment is to provide high-quality instruction that reflects the linguistic richness of Mexico. This code governs the activity of all our instructors to ensure a standard of excellence and professional ethics.

1. Professionalism and Educational Quality

• Preparation: Teachers must attend each session with a structured lesson plan and materials suited to the student’s level.
• Work Environment: Classes must be conducted in a professional, quiet space with good lighting and a stable internet connection to ensure an uninterrupted session.
• Veracity: Teachers must accurately represent their academic credentials and professional experience in their profile.

2. Session Management and Punctuality

• Punctuality: Teachers must start the session on time. In the event of a delay, the teacher must compensate for the lost time.
• Cancellations: Teachers may cancel a class with 24 hours or more notice. Last-minute cancellations must be exceptional and duly justified.
• Class Attendance: The teacher must remain in the classroom for the entire duration of the session. If the student does not show up without prior notice, the teacher must wait 20 minutes; after this period, the teacher may leave, and the class will be considered completed.
• Rescheduling: The teacher may cancel or reschedule a class at any time, provided they notify the student accordingly.

3. Ethics and Behavior

• Respect and Diversity: Any form of discrimination, harassment, or offensive language toward students is strictly prohibited. A safe and inclusive learning environment must be promoted.
• Professional Relationship: The relationship between teacher and student must be strictly academic. Requesting excessive personal information that is not relevant to the teaching process is not permitted.

4. Privacy and Data

Teachers must protect student privacy and are prohibited from sharing class recordings or personal information without express written consent.
